Isn't about time YOU (at freeware-palm.com) KNEW that .prc files DO NOT LOAD ONTO PALM PRE PHONES???? They load onto Palm 5.0 because that is the old Treo format: but Pre phones (webOS) are an ENTIRELY different operating system. Thus your Google Maps v2.0.2.0 software WILL NOT WORK ON THE PALM PRE!!! NOW Google Maps have brought out a new version for the Palm Pre. Guess what? They have made it MANDATORY for that software (already ON the Pre phones) to be upgraded: In other words we CANNOT now use Google Maps UNLESS we upgrade. And guess what is the problem for the hundreds using Pre (webOS) versions in Australia/NZ? ONLY HP Palm handle the upgrades, DIRECT from the HP Palm website. BUT: The HP Palm website only emails the upgrade download to North America and Europe, NOT, repeat NOT to Australia/New Zealand. HP Palm do not recognise the rest of the world!?!? THUS WE DOWN HERE CAN *NO LONGER* USE THE GOOGLE MAPS APPLICATION!!!! Bloody bastards.
